CHASSIS
|
Main cradle is standard Honda 500T with rear central post, cross
member and all unnecessary brackets removed. Swinging arm is from
a Honda CB500R narrowed at the pivot to fit. Alloy struts replace
suspension units and additional bracing locks the swinging arm into
the frame cradle. Ground clearance 75 mm.

FORKS
|
Honda CB250RS lower yoke fitted to 500T steerer tube. Lower yoke
will be replaced with an alloy billet item as soon as I can find
the time to make it. Kawasaki KMX200 master cylinder and caliper

FRONT WHEEL
|
Honda CB250RS with stainless spokes built by Turnertech.

REAR WHEEL
|
Honda CB500R. Sprocket carrier modified to suit chain line.

BODYWORK
|
One piece fibreglass.

ENGINE
|
Honda CB500T. Compression ratio 11:1, crankshaft rephased to 60°.
Alternator and kick start mechanism removed, one off billet cylinder
barrel bored to 75mm (588cc) using Wiseco forged Kawasaki pistons.
Head gas flowed and fins shaved to a minimum. Cams lightened and
rephased to suit crank, additional clutch plate fitted. Custom clutch
mechanism and cover incorporating supercharger mountings and provision
for outrigger bearing. Oil feeds routed externally through screw
on oil filter. Billet camchain tensioner and custom off board starter.
Estimated power output 180 bhp (we hope!).

| SUPERCHARGER |
Eaton M45 modified to reverse direction of rotation. Manifolds
fabricated mild steel, plenum chamber billet aluminium with 2 burst
panels. Boost 30psi.

FUEL SYSTEM
|
Methanol supplied to much modified 1.75" SU, main jet 3.5mm,
bellmouth carved from solid. Braided -8 fuel line with custom shut
off and emergency shut off valves.

| IGNITION |
Newtronic optical using CB500T mechanical advance with modified
trigger position to accommodate new crank configuration. Full advance
42°.

EXHAUST
|
Fabricated from stainless steel Kawasaki ZX12R downpipes.
|
|
OTHER BITS
|
Rear caliper Kawasaki AR125, master cylinder ZZR400. Footrest mountings,
foot controls etc. all by Turnertech.

WEIGHT
|
Estimated at 330lbs/150kg. Next to a standard 500T it's a featherweight.
