CHASSIS

Main cradle is standard 1975 Honda 500T with rear central post, cross member and all unnecessary brackets removed. Additional tubes stiffen the frame behind the engine and provide mountings for the supercharger.
Swinging arm is from a 1998 Honda CB500R narrowed at the pivot to fit.
Alloy struts replace suspension units and additional bracing locks the swinging arm into the frame cradle. Ground clearance 75 mm.

FORKS

Honda CB250RS lower yoke fitted to 500T steerer tube. Lower yoke will be replaced with an alloy billet item as soon as I can find the time to make it.
Toby lightweight adjustable steering damper.
Kawasaki KMX200 master cylinder and caliper

FRONT WHEEL

Honda CB250RS hub with butted stainless spokes built into 1.85 X 17 aluminium rim. Custom made titanium spindle and nut.

REAR WHEEL

Honda CB500R. Sprocket carrier modified to suit chain line.

BODYWORK

One piece fibreglass.

ENGINE

1975 Honda CB500T.
Compression ratio 8.5:1, 10:1 or 11:1.
Crankshaft rephased to 60°, cams cut and welded to suit.
Alternator and kick start mechanism removed. One off billet cylinder barrel bored to 75mm (588cc), or modified standard barrel (528cc) using Wiseco forged Kawasaki Z1 pistons.
Head gas flowed and fins shaved to a minimum, also fitted with twin plug conversion. Cams lightened and rephased to suit crank.
Custom clutch mechanism and sprocket cover incorporating supercharger mountings and layshaft outrigger bearing.
Custom clutch cover incorporating external oil feeds and off board starter fitting.
Custom lock up clutch.
Oil feeds routed externally through screw on oil filter.
Billet cam chain tensioner.
Custom off board starter using 1.6 Honda Civic starter motor and Suzuki Hayabusa gearbox gears.

Supercharged: LOTS!

SUPERCHARGER

Eaton M45 modified to reverse direction of rotation.
Manifolds fabricated mild steel, plenum chamber billet aluminium with 2 burst panels.
Maximum boost 30psi.

FUEL SYSTEM

Un supercharged: Kawasaki ER5 carburetors on custom manifolds.
Supercharged: Methanol supplied to much modified S&S Super B nitro carburettor, main jet 4mm, bellmouth carved from solid.
Braided -8 fuel line with custom shut off and emergency shut off valves.

IGNITION

Dynatek electronic using CB500T mechanical advance with modified trigger position to accommodate new crank configuration.
Full advance 42°.
Dynatek twin output coils.

EXHAUST

Fabricated from stainless steel Kawasaki ZX12R down pipes.

OTHER BITS

Rear caliper Kawasaki AR125, master cylinder ZZR400. Footrest mountings, foot controls etc. all by Turnertech.

WEIGHT

Un supercharged: 130Kg
Supercharged: 143kg.

Next to a standard 500T it's a featherweight: Honda claimed 193kg dry, In reality I reckon nearer 210kg
