THE Australian motor racing scene is well known for innovative engineering, not least in drag racing. Below is a selection of images from two friends who have been researching rotary valve engines for some years. Their latest projects are; (Gary Thomas) 2500cc in-line four and (Mark Walker) 3000cc V-twin. ALL IMAGES ARE FUL SIZE. |

Gary's engine is the 3rd generation model, a 2500cc fuel injected four with 93mm bore and 86mm stroke. Compression is 12:1 to run on methanol with a supercharger. All components including pistons and connecting rods have been designed and made from scratch based upon Gary and Mark's cumulative experience. Information is a bit sparse, so just feast your eyes on
a lifetimes work......
